Last year, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that 55 million people in the U.S. are “gig workers,” which is more than 35% of the U.S. workforce. That number is projected to jump to 43% by 2020. Pros of the gig economy: it is great for creatives. However, you have to continuous learn and improve. Cons of the gig economy: No one will provide traditional benefits so you have to be crafty. It will take long time to build following and expertise range.
